Quenching A Future Imam's Learning Aspiration
Traditionally, in each tarwīhah, the mustahabb break between each set of four rak’ahs of the Tarāwīh (Taraweeh) prayer, the Muslims of different regions, especially in Makkah and Madīnah, observed different acts of worship. The Muslims in Makkah used to make tawāf of the Ka’bah during each tarwīhah, whereas those in Madīnah, unable to make tawāf, would pray an additional four rak’ahs instead.
In the recent past the issue regarding dua after salah has been the subject of many discussions. Below is a brief explanation on this issue. This issue could be divided in four parts:
Tawassul and wasilah literally mean to make a request or supplicate through a means. It is permissible for one to request Allah Ta’ala to accept his dua through the medium of some deeds or the rank of certain individuals as this may be closer to acceptance.

In a discourse Maulāna Ashraf Ali Thānvi rehmatullāhi alayh said,
One person has sent a letter that he is indebted and needs an effective wazīfa. I replied that there is no better wazīfa in effect than Dua’.
[quran_taharah] People have stopped asking Allāh. The connection between the slave and Allāh has weakened a lot. The perception of people in this matter is very corrupt, and one thing which is even more harmful than this is when the wazīfa does not work, they start to doubt the ability of the verses of Allāh. This further corrupts ones belief.
“Acceptance of supplication (Dua’) is not a karamat because the supplications of laymen as well as kuffar (disbelievers) also get accepted. Look at اكفر الكفرة افجرالفجرة (most disbelieving of the disbelievers and most sinning of the sinful), i.e Shaytaan’s dua’ was accepted. Moreover, (look at) his Dua’ which was accepted was also an abnormal one and is considered bad manners according to the Fuqaha’ (Jurists)….
