Allah subhānahu wa ta’ala says :
Alif Lām Rā, (Such a book) we have revealed unto you, so that you may lead the people out from darkness towards light (and guidance) with permission of their Lord (rabb) and towards a mighty path, all worthy of praise.
(Surah Ibrahīm : V.1)
QAFILA is an effort to put ourselves in the footsteps of Rasulullah salallahu alayhi wasallam, and be a means to seek the brightened path of guidance for ourselves by lighting the pathway of learning for those who embark on the journey to become the true heirs of the Prophets alayhimus salām.
Let us seek this and many other bounties of Allah from the Glorious Qurān so that we may also leave darkness of our dhāhir (apparent) and bātin (hidden in the depth of our hearts) behind, and start a journey towards the illuminated pathway that will lead us to the glory of being guided, as did those before us.
A journey of a thousand miles starts with the first step, and that first step needs to have the correct intention behind it. Let us correct that intention.
The glory of a believer is amazing. When he finds something good, he shares the good with others. I have found that good in my long journey towards the search of Islamic Knowledge. I wish to share it with all my brothers and sisters. Help me attain this wish and desire, make it a means for yourself and for others to “Quench A Future Imam’s Learning Aspirations” ( http://qafila.wordpress.com/about/ ). If you have found this aim of QAFILA to be of something good and beneficial, please pass it on to ALL those you know, so that they may also benefit from this effort.
The ship has set sail,
The provisions are laid,
Who will seek a share of
Bounties and rewards?
Who will lift the anchor;
Reap the rewards ahead?
—
Set the saddle for the seeker
Feed his horse some fodder
Light the pathway lanterns
Provide a seekers’ vision
A motive to learn the faith
A chance to quench his thirst!
It is our humble effort to remove one small rock of harm from the seeker’s arduous journey in becoming our future Imāms and Ulamās. There are numerous trials for them on this path, this is just one way we can help them with. Help us “by aiding in making it a reality!”.
Set aside a portion of your income and give it lillah, sadaqah or Zakāt for these students of dīn. Make this small effort a means of your own Sadaqa Jāriah (continuous charity), and then expect an immense reward of your investment in Ākhirah (hereafter). At that time when those who will help in any of these causes, will say “Where did all this reward come from? We definitely do not recall doing so much good”, remember then, that the little provisions which you had provided to these travelers’ (of the chosen path) in this world has been increased many fold for you by Allah in Ākhirah. Allah is indeed Al-Karīm (The Generous), Al-`Ādil (The Most Just) and Al-Nāfi’ (The Benefiter).
