Sajdah Shukr (prostration of gratitude) according to Hanafiyyah

“Prostration of gratitude” in terms of fiqh means that when some blessing of Allāh is bestowed, or when Allāh Taʿālā opens the doors of myriads of bounties upon His servant that it is mustaḥabb (desirable) and afḍal (virtuous) to face the Qiblah and prostrate.

Where should the gaze be during Salah?

When performing salah, there are a few possible places where ones gaze could be:

1.Towards the sky: However many ahadith clearly prevent this practice, to such an extent that Nabi (Sallallahu Alaihu Wasallam) has warned those who do so that there is a great possibility of their sight being snatched away.
